Use nowAbout Generator tools
Generator tools turn data construction into one click: strong passwords, UUIDs, QR codes, random numbers, dice. The password generator builds from your chosen character set and length and rates the result. The UUID generator follows RFC 4122 v4, and the QR code generator re-renders live with PNG download.
Generated data often feeds security-sensitive flows: passwords, keys, test accounts. Everything here draws from the browser cryptographic random source crypto.getRandomValues, not a predictable PRNG. Results are displayed only, never logged, and never uploaded.
How to choose the right Generator
- For passwords, length first
Password strength comes from length and character variety; 12 mixed characters beat 8 symbols. Prefer long passwords over wide charsets, one per site.
- Use UUID v4 for identifiers
Version 4 is the random type, and the generator here is v4. Bulk output supports uppercase and hyphen-free forms, with no registry and no timestamps.
- Test QR codes small first
Scan a small render with your phone before printing or batch use. Longer payloads produce denser patterns, and a lower error-correction level buys smaller codes.
- Be explicit about repeats
For draws and sampling, decide whether repeats are allowed and how many numbers you need. The default is unique results, up to ten thousand per batch.
Common generator mistakes
- Generated means repeatable
Without a fixed seed, random output cannot be reproduced. To share the same barcode or deck again, set a seed or export the result.
- Random means uniform
True randomness and pseudo-randomness differ. Draws want uniform distribution; some games want weighting. Tool notes state which is used.
- Less content, better QR codes
A QR code has finite capacity: more content means denser dots and harder scans. Shorten URLs, trim text, and match error correction to the print scenario.
